Meet The Captains

Capt. Mark Defoy

With more than 35 years of experience, Capt. Mark knows these waters like the back of his hand.

Capt. Mark Defoy

From the early days with family and friends on the Lower Niagara River to days spent on the open lake, Mark has always been in the fish. Mark learned his skills from one of the best steelheaders many of us had the pleasure to fish beside Mark’s dad, so his skills are very well-founded. Steelhead, trout, and salmon from Queenston to the Whirlpool were Mark’s passion and he continues to be a river and lake fisherman like no other.

Capt. Bob Warner

Captain Bob is a proud member of The Niagara Fish Assassins team. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge for the hunt of King Salmon.

Capt. Bob Warner

Captain Bob began salmon fishing in 1987 when he helped the Thunder Bay Salmon Association develop a hatchery to stock and provide a sport fishery. Since then, he's fished Pacific salmon in the waters of the British Columbia Coastline, frequently participated in the Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular and chased Atlantic Salmon on the famous Miramichi River in New Brunswick. Bob calls Lake Ontario’s waters his salmon fishing home and since 2008. As a Niagara Fish Assassin, Captain Bob will put you on fish of a lifetime. Come join him and the Assassins Team for a day on the big water for big fish.

Our team will be running four 40’ SeaRay Express Cruisers that run on twin 454 HP Mercruiser engines. They are spacious vessels, with enough room for 8 anglers to fish in comfort. Apart from all the necessary safety and navigation gear, there’s also washroom facilities on each boat– convenient for longer trips.
